Packaging Symbols for Mexico Authority
The Mexico Authority has regulations that require front-of-package labeling when a Recipe meets certain criteria. Genesis Foods follows the Phase 3 requirements of the Mexico Front of Package labeling regulations. For more information, check out our blog.
Users must first select any qualifying Ingredient Types on the Ingredient level to ensure proper calculation of a Recipe's Packaging Symbols.
Once the Ingredient Type is selected, the Packaging Symbols will be generated if the Recipe exceeds the nutrient thresholds outlined in Phase 3 of the regulations. These Seals and Statements can be previewed or downloaded in the Packaging Symbols section of the Recipe.

New Actions for Recipes and Ingredients: Archive/Unarchive
If an Ingredient or Recipe is in an approved state but no longer used, the user can archive the Ingredient or Recipe. This new action will allow users to further filter out Ingredients or Recipes.
The Archive option is under the Actions on the top of the screen below the Ingredient or Recipe name.
When a user archives an Ingredient or Recipe, the item remains saved in the system but will now be excluded from search results. The action will archive all versions of the item. However, archiving the item will not impact existing recipes that use the item. Archived items will be read-only, labeled as “Archived” in recipe formulations, and will only appear in search results when the “Archived” option is chosen. Archived items can not be added to new formulations. The user can unarchive the item at any time.
The Advanced Search function now allows the user to search by status (Archived or Active) for both Ingredients and Recipes.
Advanced Search Improvements: Search Where Used
Users can search and display all Recipes that use a specific Ingredient, allowing further narrowing of results. *
To do so, navigate to Advanced Search > Recipes > and toggle “Search Recipes By” to “Ingredient”
From there, use the search box to find and select the specific ingredient
After selecting the ingredient, Genesis will display a list of all recipes that have the ingredient in its formulation. This list can be exported as a .CSV
*This is similar to the Search Where Used functionality of Genesis Classic
