Create Custom Nutrients

Genesis Foods tracks 155+ nutrients, everything from added sugars to zinc. If a nutrient is not available in our database, you can create it and use it in an Ingredient, just like you would the included nutrients. 

Create a Custom Nutrient

1. Click on the three dots next to your user name at the bottom of the left nav sidebar to access the Options menu.
   
2. Use the QuickLinks to jump to the Custom Nutrient section.
   
3. Enter the full name of the nutrient in the Add Nutrient text box. This will be used in all Nutrient grids.
4. Enter an abbreviated form of that name in the Abbreviation text box. (optional) 
5. Select a unit (g, mg, kg, etc.) from the Measure drop-down menu.
6. Click Save
