Trustwell Advisor
The Trustwell Advisor is an embedded AI tool that can assist users in understanding nutrition terms, how to use Genesis Foods, compare values against regulations, and more. Users can highlight or select text, such as ingredient names, label claims, or traceability terms, while working anywhere in Genesis Foods. A pop up – that says “Ask About This” - will appear.
When the user clicks on “Ask About This,” a Trustwell Advisor window will open in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
In the “Ask a question” box, users can ask any question to receive real-time explanations, validation, and reference links from the Trustwell Regulatory Agent. This feature can be used to gain more information anywhere in Genesis Foods – whether on software functionality or to provide general information on conversions or regulatory matters.
Custom Attributes
Users can now create a Custom Attribute (in addition to the 14 standard attributes) to be used across the program in the Options screen or migrate over a Custom Attribute from Genesis Classic. An Attribute is any property (bioengineered, vegan, gluten-free, etc.) of a food item that a user wants to track for labeling, marketing, or other purposes. Custom Attributes can be seen both on the Ingredient and Recipe screen as well as on Packaging Assets and Nutrient Spec Sheet reports.
Ingredient Spec Sheet Scanner
Users can upload an Ingredient spec sheet, and Genesis Foods will use AI-driven data extraction to populate the Ingredient data and remove as much manual data entry as possible.
Genesis Foods will share how many fields were successfully populated out of a total number of fields identified in the spec sheet. The spec sheet used to generate the Ingredient will be uploaded into the Attachments section for future use.
Users can then edit the Ingredient to add Aliases, Tags, a User Code, etc. They will need to confirm Allergens as always.
Updated Search Modal - Label Search
Genesis Foods has updated the search modal used in the Label section. This new modal allows for users to filter recipes by multiple criteria. Users can also add multiple recipes at a time when building dual or aggregate label formats.

U.S. Dual Column Tabular Label
Genesis Foods has added a new label format for the U.S. Authority Module : Dual Column Tabular. This label format is for use for products that require per serving/per container or as purchased/as prepared nutrition information on packages that cannot accommodate the standard Dual Column label.
Allergen Origins Bug Fix
We have fixed an issue where allergens were sometimes missing from the Allergen Origins feature.
